What's your budget? Do you prefer modern or vintage voiced cabs? Prefer tubes, hybrid, or solid state amplification?

For low B 5 string bass playing, I suggest checking out cabs such as fEarful 15/6 or 12/6, Bill Fitzmaurice designs, Low Down Sound, Avatar TB153, Bergantino AE212 / NV610 / NV412, or Barefaced.

Lotsa good amp options out there:

Solid state / hybrid: Genz Benz Streamliner 900, Carvin B2000 / B1500 / BX500, Mesa Boogie M9 / M6 / Big Block 750, and many others.

Tube: Mesa Boogie 400 or D180, Ampeg SVT vintage reissue (VR) or real vintage, Sadowsky SA200, Laney Nexus 400, Traynor YBA-300, Marshall VBA400, Reeves Custom 400, Weber MYWATT 400, Trace Elliot V8 and many others.

Well, if you can't EQ or compress yourself into the right tone and volume with that, get a second cab. Maybe something with a 15 or two.

Also, make sure you have the Limiter engaged on the head.

also, if you are goosing the bass control on the bass and/or amp, try backing off. That may be your issue as well...

Good Advice -

I just got an Avatar TB153 / going to pair it up with a Carvin B2000.

Yeah, I've run a Carvin B1500 (same sound, heavier weight compared to B2000) into my pair of TB153 cabs. Great matchup!! Loud and fat tone on tap

You shouldn't have any problems using the head you are now. I would say keep the GK Fusion and get an Avatar TB153 and call it a day. You'll have all the low B fattness you'll ever need.

3015lf

I have an LDS built 1515/66 with 2 Eminence 3015lf's. Tons of low B thunder. One would be fine too. 2 sounds the same as 1 just goes louder before destruction.

I doubt any cab you can buy does authentic low B 30Hz. Most will do ok if you can drop the very low EQ so it only has to make 60Hz without trying to flap out 30.

Gobs of 60Hz from a 3015lf, no problem.
