Hi. Got one of these and am loving it with my Berg 1x12", but curious about alternatives. What cabs are turning your crank with this head?

When I had mine (back when they first came out) I pushed 2 Mesa 1X15 Diesels. I was playing a Fender Jazz Bass plus 5 and it sounded amazing !!

I ran mine with a 2 x 10 and 1 X 15 Trace Elliot. Kind of miss the 220.

I would also be very interested to hear what else people are using their 220's with. I'm on the lookout for one of the older Goliath JR's (I or II).

Has anyone run a Goliath 4x10 with the little 220 or do those cabs need the extra power in the 400?

Hi.

Laney 410 or EV TL505 (or two ).

In all honesty, the ST220 doesn't see much playtime ATM though.

I have a Baby Blue II which isn't quite the same as a 220 but similar in power rating. I've had great success using it with a Big Ben! I have the 110 BBII combo and use it on top of the Big Ben to get 4 ohms impedance. The Big Ben seems very efficient and sounds great as a stand alone cab. If you require a tweeter you can add a golliath III 8 ohm on top and bring down the house. In that set up all drivers would be getting the same power. There are many here on TB that don't promote the use of combining different sized drivers/cabs but I personally haven't had any issues.

The Big Bens 18" speaker would make the most of the 140W 8 Ohm output on the 220.
