From wikipedia

Aside the Kustom brand, Kustom Electronics also began to manufacture an amplifier line titled Kasino. The brand was established in the early 1970's. These were basilly the same as Kustom amplifiers internally, but carried the traditional Tolex covering of Fender style amplifiers. They were used by performers mainly in the country music industry, who felt the Tuck-And-Roll Naugahyde models were too flashy. Another reason for establishing a parallel brand was simply gaining more foothold on the markets: One distributor could sell the Kustom brand and one could sell Kasino, neither would therefore drift into competition with each other and both would remain happy. Waylon Jennings was an early supporter of the line. Kasino line was discontinued in 1975 when Kustom Electronics once again changed its owner.

Not too familiar with this model. The head looks a little small for mounting tubes. Could this be a model like the old Acoustic brand stuff, where the head is your pre and the power section is mounted in the cab? Might explain the tube cabinet comment... It'd be interesting to see some more pics.

Emailed for more details. I think if the cab is an 810 the head would be appropriately tube sized. Be interesting if it actually was a head was a pre and power was mounted in the cab.

I really really doubt it actually is tubes, to my knowledge the Kasinos were copies of the solid state Kustoms.

I have seen an ad where someone called a Kustom amp tube, saying something to the effect that "the amp has two big shiny silver Mallory tubes" !!! which of course are not tubes, but instead are the filter capacitors.

Doubt this in an 8x10. Standard for the day was generally 2x15, and Kasino, while a decent sub-pro brand, was not prone to great leaps in sound engineering ala Ampeg/Acoustic.

Interesting, I thought I'd seen something about old Kustom's being tube amps. Perhaps I'm thinking of a different brand?

+1 to Bill, as far as I knew Kasino was just Kustom without tuck and roll. The cabinet is tube? I think the guy has no idea what he's got. It's probably a 2x15.

There are some Kasino ad materials on the vintage kustom website. This picture looks like it could be similar to the amp in the ad, details on the side panel.
