What do you think of this rig?

I just about made up my mind on this but want to run it past the experts on here.
Buying a Mesa Powerhouse 2x12 cab and stacking on a Hartke 2x10 and power both with my Hartke LH500.
Dont have any idea of how it will sound. So what do you think?

eh, i'm not feeling it. i'm feeling the mesa by itself and i'm feeling your two hartke 210's. but i can't imagine combining them sounding good. i could be wrong, but science is on my side in this one, so i don't think i am.

The reason I ask is because my wife says if you buy anything new, you have to get rid of something. I have two 2x10's and would get nothing for them if I traded them in on the Mesa, but I would trade in one cab and keep the other for looks or as a spare plus the amp would see 4ohms with the two 8 ohm cabs and give me 500 watts. On smaller gigs I would use one cab at 250 watts. Are you saying that the 10's and 12's dont mix?
Or is there no real difference between them?

i'm saying that the 10"s and 12"s have a possibility of causing destructive interference with each other. doesn't always happen to a noticeable degree, but it's happened enough in rigs i've played where the cabs weren't matched that i would never do it.

as for whether you should do the hartkes or the mesa cab, i can't answer that for you, but if it were me i'd probably keep the hartkes, especially if they're hydrives.

Mixing driver sizes and cab brands sounds like trouble. You might not like the results.

I understand you predicament. I also have a "sell before you buy" agreement with Mrs. Pookie.

You mention trading in one of the 210s; have you tried selling it on your own?
