I just saw Warren Haynes solo band and Ron Washington was playing thru an Aguilar DB412 with a Tone Hammer 500. He also had a DB810 and DB751 on stage. During the break I went up and chatted with Warrens guitar tech and Ron adds the 810 and drives both with the DB751 for festivals.

Lemmy still does. He runs 2 full stacks live, each consiting of a 100W Marshall Super Bass into Marshall 4x12 top and 4x15 bottom cabs.

Cheers!

-I think- I saw Willie Weeks using a 2x12 cab with an Aguilar head, but I might be wrong.

Who cares? I don't play what I play based on what someone else uses. I use what pleases me.

Don't go there, driver size and tone are not directly related.

yeah, i wonder how often anybody ever hears the speakers their favorite guys are using (overdrive guys like justin chancellor excepted)? live, we hear the bass through whatever signal chain into the PA, and on record we hear the bass through whatever signal chain into the desk.

sorry i meant knowing what gear or signal path or settings someone you like uses. Not specifically the size of driver.

I discovered 12's before I noticed anyone else playing them.

But anyways

Leland Sklar played the EA CXL 112's on several tours

Chris Chaney with Janes Addiction uses 2 Aguilar DB 412's live.

Not long ago there was a Db 412 in a nice roadcase on eBay that claimed it was on tour with Mariah Carey.

I think a lot of pros go with 12's

I've really enjoyed my rigs with 12's they seem to really open up faster than 10's on a short stage. And they just sound fatter and warmer in most cases. YMMV
