Question What head to get?

Sign in to disble this ad

I've been a bassist for 6months ish now, and the only amp I have is a little 20watt stagg thing.
BUT because my bands are starting to get alot of gigs I need an amp of my own, rather than asking to use other peoples which I have to do now.

I've played alot of heads and so far my favourite is a Trace Elliot AH600-7....I want a head that can deliver deep warm low-end and well defined mids that can cut through. I dont need 1000's of power, but a bit of beef would be nice and it cant cost much over £700 max, because I dont really want to speand more then £1300 on Head and Cab
.

Thanks for any responces (thinking of getting a Aguilar DB-410-white hot cab)

GK, Hartke, Ashdown. All of these companies make great heads and are affordable to boot. I'm not sure what it would cost you in GBP, but I'm pretty sure you could get a decent hartke head for less than 700.
