I would guess the Schroeder 15L+ would be it.

fEarful 15/6 lightweight and high wattage but you have to put it together yourself or hire LDS to build you one

There's an LDS made 15" that if I recall correctly was 30lbs.
Sounded very punchy, growly and with awesome grind.

Simple answer to that direct question. As far as I know, the Schroeder 115L+ is the smallest, lightest 115 cab which handles the most power (rated at 400 watts... 4ohm). Mine is 29 pounds. I CRANK 500 watts into it, and it easily takes it.

There is a price to pay.... small and VERY loud per watt means low end attenuated and very punchy/mid voiced. I love that... it sounds like the loudest 110 cab you've ever experienced, and will easily keep up with 2 x 112 in volume, if not low end. If you are looking for old school fat 15 tone, not so much.

It is a true 'one hander', but it is 'tight and bright'. I have a clip up of mine with the Markbass F1 on my youtube channel, link in my sig.

If you want a little bit less 'voicing' and are willing to put up with 6 or 7 more pounds, the LDS 115HO cab is great sounding (using the Eminece 3015 neo driver)... grindy, mid present, but more even with more true low end than the Schroeder... of course, a bit larger and heavier.. no free lunch.

I have a clip of that cab on my iComposition page (link in my profile).

That is really lightweight. However, if they sound like the ones back in the day, they are really thin, and that super light cabinet material vibrates like crazy.

I've got one of those LDS 115HO cabs on order with another to follow. I loved your clip by the way. The Scroeders seem a bit to middy for me.

GREAT cab IMO. I have one coming also (in surf green tolex to match my A-C LG!). Yes, the Schroeder 115L+ is very middy. It can work quite well in a mix, but as I've posted before, the extreme light weight and small size comes at a bit of a price. Nice box though if you like the burp!

While not as light, the Bag End S15D is smaller in its dimensions than the Schroeder. Never played a schroeder 15+, but the Bag End can really smoke. I don't remember its rated wattage, but I used to crank 350 through it with no problem at all.

Ha, smurf green! I ordered mine with bed liner to match the beating my gear ends up getting. Should be just the thing with my toob amp.

I think the Barefaced Big One is the lightest with decent bass output

The Barefaced Compact is 26lbs, LDS could probably build you something similar.

The LDS 115HO is virtually identical to the Compact... same driver, pretty much the same dimensions, probably a touch more bracing and stuff, adding a few pounds.

Wrongo. The Compact uses extremely thin composite plywood, with probably a lot more bracing but thinner ply. if Don would build with 1/2" poplar on demand he could shave many pounds off of his 3/4 builds.

Nice cabs, but not particularly 'light' (the 'x' is almost 50 pounds). I greatly prefer the LDS 115HO... 15 pounds lighter, more low end, more grind in the mids. However, for a box designed 25 years ago, the S 15D's still sound great!

Don will build with 1/2", but likes the ultra light 3/4" much better (I do also). My Bergantino AE410 is 1/2", and you can really feel the vibration of the wood versus my even lighter Epi410UL that uses the wonderful Italian poplar ultra lightweight 3/4 wood. The problem is, it is expensive and hard to get... MUCH better than the 1/2" stuff. Depending on the customer's budget and how weight sensitive they are, Don will use the regular 3/4" stuff, the 1/2" stuff (under protest), and the uber light 3/4" stuff if he has any on hand and if the customer wants to pay for it (it's not much of an upcharge).

Alex is a great audio designer, but man, Don's woodworking skills are second to none IMO.

So I listened to your video (I guess watched, really - and thanks for putting those up, BTW), and I really dug the aggressive mid-focused tone of the 115L+. I really don't like super low bowl moving frequencies for my tone - much prefer to hear it rather than feel it.

That said, how do you think the 115L+ would pair with something like, oh, a Mesa 400+? I think the tubey tone really makes the low end pliant, and am wondering if that mid-voiced Schroeder would be a great compliment... any thoughts?

PS - about a month ago I put in an order with Don - I originally just wanted a 1x15 with a headspace built in for the Mesa, but Don pushed hard for me to add a 10 inch driver... so it grew and I think I may have gotten away from what I really wanted...
