What Model Ampeg Cabinet Is This?

Sign in to disble this ad
I picked up this Ampeg 1x15" speaker cabinet at a pawn shop a few months ago. I've not been able to identify the model number or determine its ohm rating (I'm assuming its 8). It has an Ampeg badge on the front and "Ampeg" is etched into the spring-mounted handles. There are no manufacturer's labels anywhere on the carpeted cabinet, which measures 23"h x 23"w x 18"d. The dual 1/4" speaker inputs on the back center are plain black and have no printing around them. Its very light weight and it sounds fantastic with my solid state SVT head.

Thanks for any info you might have on the model, ohms, age, etc.

Ya, the BSE cabs were designed for Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey around 1999 or 2000.

I always double check all cabs with an ohm meter,
for all you know someone could have swapped that speaker out for a 4-ohm...
