What second hand speakers and heads to buy?

I'm a self taught bass player but have always just owned an amp. I like cruising through the pawn shops looking for old bass amps etc. I want some recommendations on which speakers/heads/amps to be on the look out. Something that I could even use to gig if I ever move out of being a garage band! My main influence is Rush and Geddy Lee. So if any particular amp helps in getting the particular Geddy sound from my GL Fender I would appreciate the help. As well as effects.

In my opinion....To get a good Geddy Lee sound, buy all of the older Trace Elliot amps and cabs you can afford. I saw Rush in the early 90's and Geddy Lee was using stacks and stacks of the T.E. amps. My favorite band, my favorite bass player, and the soft green glow of the T.E. amps and the blacklight. Magic. I bought a AH350SM head and a couple of 1x15 cabs and the stuff has held up for 15 years. The amps are very solid, but heavy as hell. The AH350SM head is 50lbs. If you use the T.E. for a while and don't like them, you can sell them to me!

GK head. Some strong cab with a tweeter will get you in the neighborhood.

I keep an eye out for 800rb's (or 700's). Good, strong, reliable amps and the "boost" knob will get you into Rush territory.
