What should my next cab be ?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Carvin BX600 and 210 cab I am thinking about when I get another cab to add on to this what should it be ? not brand wise configuration, ohm, ect ?

The current 210 is 4 ohm @400 watt the amp puts 400 @ 4 ohm. is it possible or even worth it to rewire it to run at 8 ?

Is it a wise choice to run my amp at 2ohm (two 4 ohm cabs) this would only be at during performances where a lot of volume is needed ? Is there a durability issue at 2 ohms ?

Not likely, maybe 16 ohms, it is proabbly 2 8 ohm speakers... 16 might be nice to add to a matching 8 ohm 4x10 though... for 5.33 ohms... a switch might be helpful in that manner. You could similarly build a 4 ohm 8x10 with 3 more identical and switched cabs...

As is always the recomendation, if you can't try them before buying, order another identical cabinet to what you currently have,.

If your amp is ok with 2 ohms, then get another 210 exactly like you've already got. If it's 4 ohms min, you're not able to add on.
