Just curious. Based on a Treble, Low-Mid, High-Mid, and Bass EQ, what are your settings. And what sound are you trying to get? |

And that is usually on the floor. Everything else changes a fair amount, including the sounds I am after, and the rooms I am playing in. |

My settings are of course (drumroll...) "11"
Thank you, Thank you very much... |

My amp makes a racket and a tweet
Twiddle me knob here,
Twiddle me knob there,
Whatever gets the booties shaking
is the setting I call fair.

Treb: 9
LMid: 11
HMid: 3
Bass: 4 |

| | | | I use GK 1001RB and MB500 Amps and play mostly Jazz (not Fusion) and Motown Soul. Basicly I set the bass to 1 a clock, LoMid to 11, HiMid to 9 (just don't like that frequency in My sound) and treble to 10. That is My basic setting for everything, of cause I do have to adjust some stuff sometimes, but I go for an overall round, bassy sound.

I don't understand why people ask questions that even an honest answer would have no relative meaning.
Just about every amp has different EQ points, different bandwidths on the EQ, different "flat points", etc.
Settings from one amp to the next mean absolutley nothing.

I have the ultra high and ultra low switches disengaged for both channels and my channel one mid selector is set to the middle position. It's a great sounding head and requires very little boosting/cutting.

Want to actually nail some variables down? Are we all using the same bass? Same strings? Same amp? Pick? Fingerstyle? What kind of band? What are the guitarists doing? Drummer a beast? Keyboard guy got two left hands? Are we all playing in the same rooms? |
