Bass on my back, LL Bean shoulder bag with head and cables, cab in left hand, right hand free to open doors, shake hands, accept a cold one.

| | | | SWR Workingman's 10 combo. I love this little amp! I've had it for years and it is dead reliable and puts out an honest 80 watts @8ohms and 100watts @4ohms. Add the extension cab for surprising performance. My Precision bass sounds particularly good through this amp. Who would have thunk?? Can't ever imagine selling it.

| | | | Right now I am gigging my Fender TV 15 at every gig. Clubs, country clubs, outdoor festivals.....I can't get enough of the thump and room filling deep bass. I just love this thing with my Fender P-Bass. It's just the bee's knees! |

I run gain at 11 oclock, master at 1 oclock and the eq at noon. so i'm not pushing it hard at all and the thing more than holds its own with 100 parishoners, drums, guitars, keys, and vox. A HUGE bang for the buck. |

| | | | My SWR Spellbinder Blue. Single tube preamp, 27 lbs, sounds great, very loud for what it is, and expensive, but not as expensive as an ampeg b15. Works well with my precisions, sterlings, and bsx eub. It maxed out in a medium bar with 2 guitards, keyboard and drums. I have owned an Ampeg B15N, they both have great tone but i prefer the swr. I know many will consider this sacrilige. |

Never had to go above 6 on the gain or 7 on volume with eqs flat or 1 o'clock on bass and deep switch on. I know the TV 15 is also good because I've played through one. But I slightly prefer the duo Ten, find it a bit punchier.

| | | Definitely the Gallien Krueger MB series. They have a MB110 on the catalog which will be my next amp purchase. Its the perfect size/power to perform super small gigs, late night jams, tail gate jams, back porch jams, pretty much any kind of little jams.
For gigging either the 1x15 or 2x10 would be sufficient. They have powered bottom cabs you can chain out to them and double your speakers/power. SO you could turn your 115 into a 215. Nice.
