Hello,

I am in the market for a new cabinet, as I have a 88 pound Hartke. What is your favorite dual 10 or 12 cabinet? (no combo amps)

Thanks,
RH

Avatar is worth a look. It's definitely not "dull" sounding!

Genz Neox 212T. You should be able to haggle one down to 650.

my favorite dual 12 is an accugroove El whappo Jr. it would be out of your budget unless you got a great deal on one used ( i paid $750 for mine- used).

my second favorite would be a fEarful 1212/6.

Hey John,

What do you prefer about the whappo vs. your custom cab?

And have you ever tried a fEarful 1212/6 with a 6nd410 instead of the closed back mid?

My two cents...
I own an Avatar B210 Neo and love it. Super light too. I went from an SWR Goliath Jr. III to Avatar and couldn't be happier with the switch.

Bag End D12 (2x12") is without hesitation my favorite cab period. At 75lbs, it's not exactly a light cab.

the whappo is just bigger, cleaner and fuller sounding with a wider freq response. it'll also go a bit louder before growling, which can be good or bad depending on one's taste.

my 1212/6 custom has a bit more mids, and maybe a little more punch which is really nice, so i don't think that i really need a 6nd410 in it since the 630SS sounds so good in it.

Nice box. I'm not loving it for my upright, but it has a much
beefier sound for electric bass than it looks like it would.
Punchy, with a warm low- low mid. Works well with my Genz
Shuttle 9.0. Makes for a VERY small rig with guts.

Build quality is great! Sound is awsome. You'll notice that all of us who own Avatar are very happy with our purchases.
