Whatever Happened to Steven W. Rabe of SWR?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if Steve Rabe original founder of SWR is doing anything with Bass amplification these days?

This is what i know.. He made industry changing bass gear in the 80s/90s, sold the company to it's treasurer, then went off to form raven labs and make some really cool bass gear there.

I found a little blurb online about a company just formed in CA called Tibetan Monk Audio who's president is listed as Steven Rabe.

Could that be a new bass amplification endeavor??

I know... too much time on my hands!

here is what i found from the raven labs website
Important Announcement
After a long and distinguished career developing ground-breaking technology for the musical instrument industry, Raven Labs founder Steve Rabe has announced his retirement. Unfortunately, this means that the Raven Labs product line is retiring with him. As of February 1, 2005, all development, production and shipment of Raven Labs products has ceased.

If you are the owner of a Raven Labs product and require service or repair, please contact:
MR Electronics
10629 Collett Ave.
Granada Hills, CA 91344

also, if you check the address of the TMA place, its in granada hills too, so i wonder if the name is just associated with it for tech support purposes?

If you find your way through all the ads for "finding old friends" or whatever all there is is a busines filing with the CA Sec. Of State.

I also find it amusing that "people who visited this profile also visited"

"Miss Nude Florida Pagaent, Inc."

Now that's funny. Tibetan Monk Audio Company Profile - Located in Granada Hills, CA - Steven W Rabe

I hope he's doing something cool with amps.
