What's a Good 1x15, 2x10 set?

I currently have an Avatar B212. It sounds amazing. Super powerful bass (I even have to turn the bass all the way down on my head during practice or playing house parties) and great articulation. But now I am looking to go with a 1x15 and a 2x10. Avatar no longer makes the B115, and they are hard to come by used. Does anyone know of a rig that can compare with Avatar's definition and power in the same price range?

The new DNA 2x10 & 115 are marketed as working well together. Also I think that I read that the Genz Benz Uber 2x10 & (avail in January) Uber 115 should pair up well~

Best re-check Avatar's web site...Dave is back in the 15" loaded cabinet business!
And from what I hear he has more 15" loaded models coming also...

Eden...

Oh, look!

Here's an Eden D210XLT with a D115XL for sale right in the TB classifieds!

FS: Eden 210+115 stack

How convenient!

So what's wrong w/the Avatar 212? Nothing in your post says WHY you want to go to a 115/210 combination.

I may try the new avatar, but its not the same as the 115 i am looking for. I am looking at the Eden link now LMAO!!! The fat sound of the 15 is why I am looking to change. I have recorded both (I have a Fender 15 combo that I bypass the head on), the 15 sounds so much fuller.

You might drop Dave at Avatar a e-mail and ask if they are going to offer a 115 cabinet along the lines of their past 115 models.
In the past Avatar had two different 115H models, they used the same componets, just loaded in different sized boxes.
One was approx.23"x17.5"x16.5", the other was approx. 23"x23"x16.5".
I had the smaller of the two, it was loaded with a 600 watt Kappa Pro 15 and horn.......wish I'd have kept it!!!
I'm now gigging two Avatar Neo 210 cabinets stacked as a vertical 410...LOVE this set-up!

I know this is your thread..but I heard (somewhere on TB)..that 12's lacked the lowend.."thump"/thunder of 15s..or 410s.
I take it you disagree?

I really want a pair of 12s for my next rig(ease of transport only) but I cant find any to test.and its really hard to get a strait answer as to how they compare with others.(ive just always heard that they were "midddy")

.

Carry on.

The bass coming from my Avatar B212 (with awesome Line-X coating) is thunderous. It has been known to give my band mates headaches. Seriously. I am just looking for a different kind of bass. The 12s have a punchy, well defined sound with lots of bass, but I want that full 15 sound.

I'm happy as a claim with my Orange rig--the 1x15 matched with the isobaric 2x10 (one cone shoots down through bottom port, so the whole think is about the size of a combo--it is effectively a vertical array).

Look for some used mesa Deisel cabs/ shouldn't be very expensive at all, and aside from being on the heavy side, they sound beautiful.
