that's a lot to ask for out of a $100 practice amp. if you can maybe bump it up to $150, your choices get somewhat better.

Best Combo Amp Under $100?

the acoustic b10 will be one of the few inexpensive combos that has a 10" speaker (kustom does, as well); most are either 6.5 or 8". i had a b20 that i was happy with. like jimmym says, if you up your budget a few bucks more, your options open up.

as long as you know going in that you're buying a low-priced practice amp and not a stack, you'll be fine. if you're like a bunch of online reviewers who're p!ssed that their 10-15 watt practice amp can't hang with their bud's drum kit or 50w guitar amp, then you'll be likewise disappointed.

scope out the local pawn shops for something used, as well, for a bigger b4b.

Behringer amps are fairly inexpensive and plenty ok for practice.

Yes, but once you outgrow the practice amp, you also out grow behringer. They're cheap, so they would fit your budget. However, abandon that brand once you grow out of the practice amp phase and start searching for a larger amp.

Also, try used stuff. Search craigslist, music store's used inventory, pawn shops, Talkbass classifieds. There's plenty out there. I'll agree with Jimmy, $150-200 will improve your options tremendously.

Lastly, go to the "amps" section in the forum home page and do a search for "beginner amp" or "practice amp". You will find endless threads of information and reviews.
