I'm curious what the meanest 2X15 cab currently being made is?
Anyone know of some cabs that fit the bill?
P.S. Tweeterless is best! |

A 151566 fEarful is what you are looking for.

| | | | About 20 years ago I took a Peavey 2X15 cab, added some insulation bats, loaded it up with two Carvin drivers, and ran an Ampeg SVT that had the 12DW7's modded to 12AX7's. Even with three guitar players in the band, and the drummer playing original Ludwig VistaLights, I had to turn DOWN. |

BTW, i wouldn't really call a 151566 an agressive cab, but more of an even blanced one.
one of the loudest and most efficient bass 2x15 bass cabs that i ever played thru was a JBL 4520 like this one: |

The fearFul design will go mighty low, and loud, but "gnarly" is not what I'd expect from it.

That is what I use.
It ended the "volume wars" in my band.
Do you like the port block?
I leave mine off.
