Whats wrong with my tube amp?

I've got an Ampeg B25B tube amp. Its got a 4 inputs. Channels 1 and 2 with normal and bright sides.

For some reason I plugged into the normal jack of channel 1 and I got a weird ocean sounding noise. Then I unplugged after it stopped and I got no sound. Tried bright on channel one. No noise at all.

Channel 2 works perfectly and I never even used it before.

What gives?

Ya, sounds like an intermittent pre tube.
