Fretless 'Bird through an old Acoustic 118 combo last night. It sounded far better than it should have.

This weekend I played a beautiful Ric 4003 (Mapleglo) in stereo for the entire show.

The lows went through a Fender Bassman TV15 and the highs through a Fender Bassman TV210.

And I think I just found Nirvana!

Last night I played my MIA jazz through the M-2000, Eden WTDI, into the Mesa 2x15". I was doing a 'fill-in' or guest bass spot for a band out of Phoenix, in a club I've played a few times several years ago. Hard rock originals, 90's covers (Alice in Chains, Cracker, Radiohead, Seven Mary Three, Pink Floyd). The room is notoriously known for being muddy and difficult to dial in. The rig performed beautifully and the feedback I received (from musician friends/ past band mates) the mix and bass sounded good in the house and that's all I can hope for.

I do, however, have really bad speaker coil drag this morning. This cab has had a strange intermittent coil drag on the lower 15" for a while now. I will have to bite the bullet and replace the speakers.

Supporting an acoustic show for two really great singer/songwriters with a flat wound strung AVRI '62 P-Bass with foam at the bridge through a SansAmp into the PA. Simple yet effective.

For tonight & tomorrow nights gigs (and possibly Monday night too) I'll be using my Fender PRO 8x10", Mesa M-2000/Eden WTDI. Playing my go-to Jazz with my Les Paul as the back up.

Medium size club gig Saturday; SVT 4Pro and an 810.

Overkill cab but it's that or a BA-115 until my medium size cab(s) gets built -- probably going to be 2-210's which will be stacked vertically. After that an ultralight head...

I'm playing an outdoor acoustic gig tonight, with a few sets towards the end of the night with the whole band plugged in. I was surprised (and very pleased) to discover that my 'little' GK MB210 can easily handle the acoustic portion, and perform just as well during the louder full band portion at the end of the night. Oddly enough, playing a small indoor venue requires that I attach my Ampeg SVT-15E to keep up with the drummer. I figured it would've been the other way around (bigger rig for the outdoor gig, smaller for the indoor)
