I am close to buying either an RH450 or RH750. Where can I get the best deal on them these days? I don't really need more than 500 watts, which one would you recommend?

Just bought a new in box RH 450 on ebay for $569.00

750 = more power and tweetertone. If you don't need more power, the tweetertone would be the issue.

That tweetertone dealio is the sticking point for me. I like being able to adjust the high high frequencies, 8k, 10k, that kind of deal. If that is what the tweetertone is then its preferable to me.

Go for the RH750, I just recently purchased one I love it! The Tweetertone is very useful, especially if you want to add a little sizzle on your slap tone and also the amp is very powerful!

I bought mine about 2 months ago at proaudiostar.com They were great to deal with. The original purchase was an RH450 and a RS210, I've since gone back to them and purchased another cab, bag for the 450, a mixer for my studio and misc other stuff. Every transaction has been great and they've been more than willing to take $$ off the prices of some gear most places won't.

I've had to use their return dept for the mixer (Messed up gain pot on a channel) and they handled taht like pro's too.

I purchased my TC gear (RH 450, 2 RS 210 cabs) from Donovan Bankheads store, on the recommendation of Ken Jung who has owned most if not all of the good gear out there. Donovan has gone above and beyond for me, even helping me get a replacement cabinet for FREE when one of mine I had purchased suffered some damage in a fall. He is on these boards, store is Springfield Music, and was able to do better on pricing than what i had explored at the time, and his service will make me go to him when I can justify/spend the cash for the RH750 head.

Great Experience!

Another happy ProAudioStar customer here -- I bought my RH450 from them before the 750 came out, so the prices weren't quite what they are now, but it was far and away the best available. And it arrived in NZ 3 days after I ordered it!

+1 for Donovan at fretspot.com. Bought my RH450 and one of my RS112s from him.

Nice guy who I've only met online here, and he got me a replacement carrying case when mine started fraying.

Good pricing, great service.
