Where can I get short speakon cables?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am having trouble finding shorter cables to go from my amp head to cabinets with speakon connectors on both ends. I would like them to be 3 feet or less. Anyone know where I can find some?

i usually buy a six or ten footer and a couple of spare neutrik ends so i can make a few short ones out of them. its super easy and doesn't require any soldering.

I get 2 Speakon ends from Sam Ash or Parts Express, then either get their bulk cable, or just swing through lowes electrical department and buy there $1/ft black jacketed stuff...that's a custom cable for $12 or so.

make em...

cause I suck at anything electronic and I made some. If you have a regular 6 foot or longer 1/4" speaker cable, just cut it in half, then remove or just cut the 2 ends off and add the speakon connectors.

I did one with a speakon on one end and left the 1/4" on the other end as well as a speakon end and a banana end for a couple older Eden cabs I own. No soldering needed.

So easy, even a caveman can do it....

New Question?

I got some four pole speakon connectors yesterday. Which two of the four poles do I use to connect the wire to?

Pro Cables n' Sound are great.
I got a pair of 4' speakon cables 4 years ago, and they're still working perfectly and will probably do so forever.

Great prices too.

Thanks!

They are finished. Very easy to do! I bought six feet of 14-2 SJ wire at Home Depot for less than $4 and four Speakon connectors off Ebay for $14. For $18 and a little of my time I have two cables in just the length I needed!

BTW if anyone else is going to do this and wants to use the SJ wire, Lowe's does not carry it. Tried going there first and they had no clue what I was talking about even when I showed them a picture of it.
