As I posted in the "Basses you thought you'd never sell" thread, I have learned to never say never. The Walkabout/ML-112 is working pretty well, but BigE Loudspeakers have got my gear curiosity going. In my book, there's almost always room for improvement...

My main setup at church is perfect. Running a MarkBass FI with a Eden 4/10 cab. No tweeters. Also using a Sansamp Tech 21 pre-amp.

Man people have some serious shtuff on here. I have a pretty basic setup but my tone is perfect so why fix it? BDDI> Ampeg B2RE > Hartke 4 10. That ampeg amp is mostly crap so I run into effects return and just use it as power--the BDDI is essentially my sound and I don't run that full blend by any means.
This set up sounds great with my GNL or lakland--no more gas!

Can you hear that over drums?

Seriously, I have a XTI2000 coming this week, and THAT is overkill for 99% of gigging bassists. The 4002 is insane power. 3200w @ 4ohms... Your guitarists must be pleased!

I quit gassing on big rigs when I got my Ampeg SVT-VR and Bergantino NV610. My small rig is a GK MB210 and I really like it but I'm still searching for an Ampeg B15 flip top which may or may not replace the GK.

lol...well, I am however after years of always looking forward to the next piece of gear to further expand I suppose I'm addicted to the 'chase' -essentially it feels like there's always something you can do to improve some portion of your rig. I suppose it would be more realistic to say "until I strike it rich I'm ok for the present"

What do you do if it's your elation over your current gear that sends you seeking more of a good thing?

Happy with my GB Shuttle 6.0 and two GK Neo 112s, with my beloved Alembic Spoiler.

Being happy with your rig is being able to get a sound that makes you happy, so you can sit back and play. For 30 years a Mesa Boogie D180 with an 118 Boogie cab worked for me, now a PJB Roadcase works for me. Two totally different rigs, but I can get a sound that makes me happy from both. I also have an Orange TT500 and an OBC115 when I need more grunt and growl, and it also gets me the sound I need. After 60, weight and size did become a factor, but not sacrificing tone, volume, and such just for ease of transport.

Kinda. Sadowsky basses through Bergantino cabs. Right now I have a Mesa Walkabout and 400+. I also have an Aguilar Ag500. I tend to trade amps. I've the Walkabout a while. Stays at the church. Might buy the new Mesa tube head when it comes out next couple months

I like what I have and I got rave reviews from my sound at the last gig. I still have a minor case of GAS though. It must be an obsessive compulsion.

My primary rig is an American made Ampeg SVT 6 Pro with two Ampeg 410HE cabs. I also have an early 70's SVT head and cab. I am happy with them but I like the sound of Eden a little better. I was going to buy an Eden 800WT and two 410 cabs last year but I decided not to after finding 3 used heads which were all out being repaired and four cabs which had blown speakers in them. All of these heads and cabs were at different retailers across the U.S. so it seemed to me that this was common problem with Eden and went back to Ampeg instead.

I am pretty much.. I just got two Mini12+Ls and I have a Tri-115 that I was thinking of trying to sell but I think I will just keep it. The only thing I think I would need eventually is a backup head and I am thinking of a used 6.2/9.2/9.0 as possible optionswith my 900.

I'm there with my setup.

Barker B1 five string, Thunderfunk TFB-420 and a fearful 12/6. Plus, a Cinemag DI. Same rig for several years. I am considering upgrading the Thunderfunk to current specs, but at this point that's more of maintenance issue than a desire for tone change. I've been tempted a few times to change up something, but have come to my senses so far every time.
