Why buy a GK NEO212 if 212MBE does the same thing? cheaper
Do you think this is true? I need info about this concern.
Is a couple hundred less and I don't see much tech difference. I think that is not cheaper is a greater value. Please advise |

The neo series has a much better tweeter and the GK biamp capability (assuming you have a RB series head). They are heavier duty and I believe has a slightly high SPL rating if it actually means anything. I love my Neo 115-iii.
Here you can snag a Neo 212 for $400 brand new (street price is usually $550). No question that is the deal to go with. But that price won't last long. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...VYATAAH37K3HFK

Even factoring in bigger drivers in the Neo, there really is no doubt that the Neo line is superior. I'm probably going to pick up a second one in the near future. |

The bigger cabs should allow the Neos to go deeper louder (or louder deeper, or something).
I have not experienced many Neos. I've played an MB 210 with a NEO 410 as the extension. Similar tonality, bugger sound of course from the NEO, and the NEO's deeper FR (I believe the 410 is specified to be -3 dB somewhere in the 30 Hz range) seemed very noticeable to me.
My view would be if you can affort it and expect to play the cab loudly at all, the Neo is worth the extra. |

Even RAG has posted on how the neo range sounds a bit 'bigger'.
But then again, if you are after super-mega-lite, then I suppose MBE is the ticket.

And even though i intend to get 2 markbass 2x10 cabs to stack vertically, the Neo 4x10 is going to continue to be used in the jam space. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
