Just a general question. I've played through several ampeg heads but never really liked any at all. I started out playing through peavey then moved to ampeg then finally made my way to Kustom. I know kustom isn't really the cream of the crop when it comes to bass amplification but for some reason I just love the tone. (I play on a Groove 1200HD through a G-810H). Just looking for some answers as why Ampeg seems to be the "bass players choice". |

| | | Coors Lite... Bud Lite... anything lite...
As for Ampegs... what can I say? I just like the tone. When I play through an Ampeg I sound the way I want to sound. Others feel that way about other amps. Might as well ask why so many like Fenders, ya know?

Yeah I don't understand that either, I think Fender basses are horrible instruments. |

Ampeg SVT is by far the most requested bass back-line we get asked to supply. Ampeg = The Gold Standard for bass amplification. Coors Light on the other hand is redundant. Not unlike love in a canoe... Friends do NOT let friends drive..... minivans...

| | | | I too played through a Markbass once and have seen its owner play a few times. Not a tone I'm a fan of. That's why it's great there are so many different amp and bass makers.
