Why has the Bergantino NV215 been discontinued?

Seems like everybody loves this cab. In fact, I was directed towards it in my quest to get some vintage sounds, yet I just learned it's been discontinued... with no other replacement in sight.

Why is that? I'm genuinely puzzled.

Probably didn't sell enough of them. I'd love one, too.

Jim (Bergantino) is always upgrading, expanding, and making better & better cabs. But beeing small / medium size company, he can't keep ALL his full lines going, especially when he comes up with new stuff. NV had 3 models, and decided to keep 2. Ht used to have many models, now just a few. New AE series, new HS series. Even the IP series (amazing critiques) was thinned quite a bit.

I agree it was (from the players comments) an amazing cab, but same is true of the NV412 and NV610. And micro and neo cabs being so popular lately, I think business wise, keeping no more than 2 large size cabs made sense.

However, I would not at all be surprised to see a NVR215 available at some time, lol (New Vintage Reissue).

I own 3 Berg cabs, and love them.

Makes sense, but it's a shame.

Thanks for the explanation. Very appreciated!

Per the above comments, my guess would be simple lack of sales.

If you are interested in this sort of cab, the 15/6's (either the DYI Fearful builds or the Low Down Sound versions) are louder, lighter, and in the same tone universe. They will go deeper and also have much better upper mid response, due to the more heavy duty 6" mid driver, and the super hi end Eminence 3015LF driver. Amazing cabs if you want that smooth 'modern meets old school' sort of vibe. Less expensive also! Bonus!

I love Berg cabs (pretty much all I gig), but IMO there are now better executions of a 15 with mid driver cab out there now (maybe another reason for the discontinuation!).

I would keep an eye on TB classified. They come up there now and then, though I bet they usually go fast. A search may yield some clues.

I thought the NV215 only had two 15" speakers. You're saying they also had in additional a mid driver or is that something I misinterpreted from your post?

Thanks for the heads-up on some alternatives. I'm always up for saving some money on very similarly-sounding products.

Yes, you're right. Somebody actually linked to that same post in my McCartney/LIBN thread. It's a shame too since I also happen to live in Canada and I could/would have spared myself the painfully inflated taxes & duty fees that come along with importing items from the US.

Oh well,... I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled once I have the dough. If I don't see any after a while, I might spring for a "15/6 (either the DYI Fearful builds or the Low Down Sound versions)," as per KJung's suggestion.

Or maybe Bergantino will have a new 2x15 cab by the time I have money to spend. Who knows?

Thanks again!

2 x 15 and a mid driver. Very nice cab. It is hard to beat those 15/6's though (or 1515/66's if you need to knock a Ford F150 off the highway at 100 yards).

It looks like Bergantini has no 15" speaker cabs in product line.
The HT 115 was another great cab.
