WHY I Love Craigslist!!!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Found and bought from the Delaware C-list, this Mesa Boogie Buster! for $300. I have been wanting one of these for years. I have my Mesa 400+ and Mesa Venture but I wanted a small tube amp for home. I bought an Ampeg B15S and was going to re-hab it but sold it when I found this.

That's one of the better Craigslist deals I've ever heard of! Even if it wasn't working great it'd still be worth buying to rehab...

I bought one just like it a few years ago, around the same price. I'd suggest you take it in for a complete check-up. I spent another 3-400 bucks on mine, and when it came home, the difference was night and day.

i've had lots of good luck on craigslist.

the other day i got a carvin LB76 fretless for $250. put it on ebay and sold it for $550.. i've also had good luck buying drum equipment from craigslist. got a 60's A zildjian 22" ride for $20. its not in great shape- but sounds nice, and was $20.

i've been trying my best to constantly watch my local craigslist to be the guy that gets to all the deals first.

Sounds like quite a score, congrats! I'd like to hear your thoughts on how the Buster compares sonically to your other tube amps. Can it do fat, warm clean tones?

One of the drawbacks of living in a music town like Austin is that these deals, if they exist here, seem to get snatched pretty quickly. You have done well, my friend

I have spent the last 20+ years wasting untold sums on a 'sound in my head'. Started out with a G&L and a Traynor YBA1 and since I have gone through basses fron Alembic to Zon and amps from Ampeg to Zoom. As of yesterday's Craigslist pick up of the pic below, you guessed it, I am still playing a Traynor YBA1 and a 1980 G&L L-1000 also from Craigslist. I still have my Mesa 400+, Mesa Venture, Mesa Buster....all of which have come from the mighty List. Sorry Eyeball and 45mckay....
