Now guitar center did about 4 price drops on this baby and that is why its so afordable. I will be paying a little bit more for it but I think in the long run it will be a better investment.
I have never owned a tube amp so Im not sure about it though. Hows the upkeep? Do you need to replace the tubes at all? How much does it cost to replace them? Are Mesas reliable?
Used Price: $449.99!! - excellent shape
I inquired about this last week. Called the store. Cabinet is blown. That's why it's cheap. Caveat emptor!

Yeah. That's the one. Still a 'good deal', but more trouble than I personally would be willing to happily deal with.

Im gonna go test out tthe actual mesa/boogie combo today and the same store has the ampeg porta and ba210. How much will it cost to replace the speakers? I can play with blown speakers at home for the time being and I still have an ampeg 15" cab I can just hook up the head to

Portabass 250 - thats a great price for a reliable and compact combo. I had the 2x10 and it was a thing of beauty. The little wheel system is kind redundant as it doesn't weight that much anyway.

the portabass 250 is my 2nd choice. Im gonna go see how bad the speakers are blown on the mesa. If all fails there is also an ampeg portabass 228 with the 2 8" drivers

That's not a tube amp. That's a hybrid. Two 12ax7s in the pre-amp stage. In all likelihood, you may never have to change the tubes.

Blown is blown... not sure what you're getting at here. I suppose it could be the difference of "nasty farting" vs "falling off the surround", but does it really make a difference?

Regardless, I'd still probably go Mesa of the choices listed.

The Mesa. great deal and the Mpulse600 head is worth more than that alone used.
