Will a GK 412 Neo fit in tje backseat of a Honda Civic? I am wondering this as I may want to get this cab and will not have the means to measure it out soon so real world experience would be appreciated. Thanks!

I recently got an Ampeg 610, and also drive a Civic. I owned a GK 412 in the past, and IIRC, it's close to the same size as the 610. I had to take the front passenger seat out of my car in order to fit the cab in the back seat... I barely use that seat anyway, so it all works out.

I would guess its a tight fit...

Oh wow, thanks. I was also looking into SWR 6x10 which actually has shorter height than the GK 412 so I may ultimately roll with that cab. Perhaps a "Will an SWR Goliath Sr fit in the back seat of a Honda Civic?" post is in order :-)

I don't know about civic backseats, but i'm pretty sure i wouldn't of been able to get mine into my 91' accord. Fortunately I got a SUV before I got the 4x12. I had trouble getting my 4x10 into my accord though so hopefully your civic is bigger then that. I eventually had to set the front seat down and put the cab in that way. Thank god I got my 4runner before I really got into big cabs haha.

hmmm...

That's a great cab but I'm not sure you should be placing something so bulky and heavy in the back seat for safety reasons. You might want to consider a couple of high quailty 12" cabs or a mighty 212 like the fEARFUL 1212/6 instead. An Avatar TB153 is another option. They could fit in your trunk.

The GK is killer though, don't get me wrong. You might want to trade the car for a SUV or wagon to accomodate the GK!

While a little more money, you could get two of the GK 2X12 cabinets and you could almost certainly fit those in your car.

I drive a Honda Civic Coupe and used to have both a Trace Elliot 1048H (20"x28.25"x26.5" way smaller than the GK 4x12) and an Ampeg 115 (smaller) that I could squeeze in - Ampeg in the back seat, TE in the passenger's seat. Unfortunately neither could get in the trunk, and I ended up selling the TE cause it was just too much trouble carting it around and scratching up my car interior and the cab's surface every time I put it in and took it out.

I faced a similar problem, OP, and ended up picking up two 212Neos during one of Musician's Friend's deals. Going modular is ALWAYS suggested and I've never looked back.

what year civic ? I managed to jam a Marshall 4X12 in my 2000 civic once. Wouldnt want to do it often. My SWR 4X10 fits in the back seat of my 08 Subaru Impreza sedan but its tight. Doesnt fit in the trunk but only because it wont fit through the openeing. Theres actually enough trunk room. The cabinet it just to wide.

I'm with the two 2x12 idea. Transportable, you can arrange it however you want, take one for smaller gigs
