Will preamp clipping damage my amp?

I like a bit of preamp overdrive on my MAG300 sometimes, but will this damage my amp? I'm thinking about the VU meter in particular.

Thanks

The VU meter is more for show than anything on Ashdown stuff. As long as the speakers aren't farting out, you should be fine.
