will a shuttlemax 12.0 push a svt810e?

i was wondering if a shuttlemax 12.0 would push a svt 810 on one side (600 watts)? thinking about using that combo because i am doing a tour in Australia soon and i want a light head to fly with. plus i want to use it here as well and i am tired of pulling around 2 cabs. figured i could push 2 810s as well if that would work which would help because i might be doing some mayhem fest gigs this summer. any info would be great. if it works out i am planning on picking one up in like 2 weeks. thanks allot.

yes, i've used my shuttle 6.0 with both my ampeg 810 and bergantino nv610, and it does fine--would be the same as 1/2 of your 12.0 going into it

even the 400W TF420 i had would push the 810 just fine

Would probably work fine

Try a TC RH450 as well...much much louder than you might think.

Well. Why not try a Marshall Major, or a Clarus or a TE500? Or (place brand amp here________)

I love the way people will interject or push their flavor of the month amp into a thread ...when someone specifically asks about a specific amp like the Shuttle 12.. Nothing like going completely OT.
Especially when he said he would maybe try to use 2 cabs in the future.

OP Anyway Yes the Shuttle will do exactly as you wish. I have done fly dates with mine and it goes in overhead with no problem in the Shuttle Carry bag... I bet it would sound killer though 2 810s too... Only ran one side of mine in an aggy 810 and it did nicely

Relax....it was a suggestion! Im not endorsed by the way....

Personally if I was pushing an 8x10 like the Ampeg, id want all tube or a very good emulation. I would NOT just want a tube-pre, as it just does not have enough tube grind.

Thats why I thought the RH450 would be fantastic due to its very warm and vintage tone. Its the best micro to give a brilliant amount of grit.

Shuttlemax was very much flavour of the month a while back...its just the way things go im afraid.

But, agreed, the Max12 will push two 8x10s!

I'm sure he already owns it or is renting or borrowing it is why he asking about this specific amp.

why can't pepople just answer the question if they have the answer or just not write anything. I think it is OCD to write on everywhere they go or as sugessted just pushing their brand.

I did answer the question, without any 'OCD'. The amp will work, but there are other options in case he wanted to try that out. Its not MY brand...I own many types of amp from all different manufacturers.

If you like the Genz sound, Max12 will be great. (Repeating).

hey its ok guys i am open for opinions and suggestions.i have tried allot of amps and i am choosing the shuttlemax 12 because of the weight and power. i played through a Tc rig in new york a few weeks ago and i did like it. but i have to deal with full stacks so being able to run that much and not break my back is nice. i am tired of my Eden rig and welcome a change.

thanks allot for helping me know i am not making a bad choice. i looked through all the threads i could find and did not see that pair up or even with a 8x10 at all.

spec wise I don't see any problem with running the 12max with either 1 or 2 810s and it would probably sound amazing too! unfortunately I have no experience with the amp physically

The ShuttleMax 12.0 will push the 810s easy. If you want moreout of the amp, pick up an Avalon U5 to hit the front end of the Genz. It will sound worlds better and really kick.

If the 12 isn't enough amp, then you clearly will need at least 6,000 watts to get any sound at all out of the cab....trust me.....

i've gotten my 810 rockin' loud with a b-15n head, btw. 25w of doom! so yeah, i think a shuttlemax will handle it

Another way to maximize the SM12's front end gain is to engage both tube and FET sections. You can do some nice tone blending and the pre signal will be noticeably hotter.

i am touring in July with HalfLip doing 12 dates on the east coast and then a week or two in Australia. still waiting on the mayhem dates we are playing. my other band broke up like 4 years ago and i forgot to take it down.

Just for giggles one day I hooked up 2 410's, a 212 and 115 to my 12.0.

Neighbors weren't very happy.

You can not go wrong with the Shuttle Max 12.0, it's one hell of an amp!

But also check out the Shuttle 9.0 too.

I'm with SVT, if I ask about finger-style I get tired when someone pops in and says how bout a pic?
