Will this work . . . . ? Bassman 8ohm vs Rumble 4ohm

OK, for all you folks out there more knowledgeable than me (should be most of you) help me out here

I have the Bassman 250 head PN 2345900010 and a Bassman 1x15 Cab (the "eminence inside" one) PN 2347200000

I wanted to buy this to go with it but I can't seem to find one anywhere

Bassman 410

So I found this

Rumble 410

but it is only 4 ohm - Will it work with the 250 head and 115 cab or not? If not, what are my options for adding a 4x10 to this?

Here is a piece from the manual

Quote:
PARALLEL SPEAKER OUTPUTS - Use the 1/4"
phone jacks and Speakon® connector in any
combination to connect a total speaker load of
4–ohms minimum. Combo units have a 4-ohm
internal speaker load for maximum power output.
The following configurations are recommended:
• One 4–ohm speaker
• Two 8–ohm speakers
So what about 1 8-ohm and 1 4-ohm together? Will I fry my head that way?

OK, never mind - the search function does work . . .

Looks like if I run these two together I get 2.67 ohms and the head is rated at 4 ohms minimum so it appears this is a bad idea.

Darn Fender for discontinuing the cab I want / need

If you're gonna stick with Fender, I suggest adding an 8ohm 1x15 cab instead of a 4x10. Like this.

BTW, how are you liking your current rig? Just curious...are you adding a cab for bigger venues?

Also, there are many posts on the benefits of using the same speakers(in each cab) and stacking them vertically. Search "bill fitzmaurice".

Here's a head start on the topic and a few threads you might want to check out:
