Anybody ever heard of WOODSON Amps?
Made in Bolivar, Missiouri....
I recently got a 2x15 cabinet, and was trying to see if anybody knew anything about them.
Pretty much KUSTOM amps from what i can tell, and the shop i got my cabinet from also had a 50w head, and i took a look inside it. Yep, KUSTOM guts.
So, anybody know anything about this brand?
Thanks.

I feel i did pretty good price wise.... $90.

Dimensions are 48 inches tall by 12 inches deep by 26 inches wide. Perfect... my 100w Superbass Fits right on it.
Missing a logo too.
P.S. You can't really see them.. but there are Aluminum dust cap's in there... pretty sure it was CTS's. Can't remember the codes off the top of my head either.

I also lined the inside of the cab with acoustic dampening foam...

Would you give details on the lining? Where purchased, how thick, how attached, lined around the front panel holding the speaker, those type things.
Thanks.

I got mattress padding, and it was maybe $10 for a few feet.
Got it from walmart, and i lined the entire inside of the cab, except for the rear of the baffle.
And trust me, it made a HUGE difference.
Attached with a staple gun, used T-55 staples i believe and the foam itself was maybe an inch or an inch and a half thick.

But Jack used to work for Peavey, and he's been in the business a pretty long time. Plausible, but not likely, given the time span involved between Woodson and TBC.

Woodson was supposedly some sort of an offshoot of Kustom created either for or by a Kustom dealer or dealers. Something like trying to avoid splitting his Kustom interest with his wife in a divorce settlement or something like that. From what I've heard and read, the insides are nearly identical to the earlier Kustoms. Sounds plausible and and could be the guy involved. Maybe "okcrum" could check into that with Jack.
BTW - thanks for the lining description KramerBassFan.

The shop i got my 2x15 at had a Woodson PA 100 or whatever the guitar model is, and i got to take a look inside it. Yep, laid out nearly exactly like KUSTOMS, with only some of the components being sourced differently. They are probably the exact same schematic wise.

Had he at least heard of Woodson?
I don't think Bolivar is a very big town.... (but i may be wrong) my family is from out there, and Bolivar isn't too far from where the entirety of my family is from. So it was kind of cool to have a speaker cabinet that was made pretty "close to home".
