When I think "metal" Behringer leaps to mind. Not only affordable, (metalheads has no monies), but POWERFULer than similarly rated amps. Fer instance, they have one that puts out over 3000 watts!!!! Run that through a good 1x10 cab and BLAMMMO

I once had a Fender Sidekick 50, and a 20 watt Samick combo, neither are appropriate for metal.
