By itself, I don't think my combo amp is loud enough, so I want to get an extension cab. However, from what I have been reading, it looks like it will only add about 50 watts. So why is it worth it to buy an extension cab? What I am considering is buying a cab and connecting it to my Peavey TNT 115 combo. If it still isn't to my liking I am going to sell the Peavey combo and buy a head for the cab. I am going to buy a cab today. Thanks.

So that, pluss the extra sensitivity of an extra speaker = it will get a bunch louder with an extension cab. |

EDIT: I see you are a bedroom player. So a 115 of correct impedance would be a better choice. |

Thanks. | the ext cab will probley do the trick,50 watts dont sound like much but when the ohm load drops the tone changes and gets good and loud.i had i peavey combo 1-15 and with another 15 it was enough to hang with 2 guitarist using mesa rigs! |

How does an extension cab connect into a TNT?
My older TNT130 has two Output sections - Crossover and Patch
I thought that the Crossover was just for Bi-amping (which I interpret to mean connecting another combo or an amp/speaker).
Sorry to derail, but it's a question that I've been trying to answer for quite some time.
Thanks.

We're discussing if it's a good idea... there are at least 4 generations of the same amp.. they have different features.
Your replies are going to be misleading.

Just RTM on extension speaker impedance and buy accordingly. A lot of used 115 Carvin or Peavey cabs would fit the bill. |

But you better practice your dead lifts, because it's gonna sound even better that way. Gotta say I like the cosmetic approach Peavey's taken on this generation of TNT. |

Yeah, that wasn't fun at all. After that the band decided it would be GLAD to play both BORN TO BE WILD AND FREEBIRD. |

Make sure your extension is 8 ohms.
