Would it be foolish?

I prefer the sound of a my Ampeg 810 over my Heritage 410HLF. Would it be a downgrade to trade the 410 in on 2 Ampeg 210AV's? The Heritage probably has better components, and may be built better, but I prefer the sound of a sealed cab.

If you like the sound of sealed and you want something easier to hump about it's an upgrade. Except for the early SVT210AV's not having their tolex glued on the back properly (hopefully the new ones are better?) they are built quite well. It's really hard to believe how good they sound without hearing one or a pair.

if you want that huge low end, it's not an upgrade. but i don't, so i would consider it an upgrade.

If it sounds better (to you), it is better (for you).
