Would you gamble on ordering this cab? Aguilar SL 410 $1,299

The Aguilar SL 410 appears to be discontinued but looks like Bass San Diego has two of them left. This cab is pricey and they have no return policy, but, the specs are what I'd like in a 4x12 or 6x12 and this cab is light as hell and will fit in backseat of a car. Plust at these specs I think I'd end up getting a 410 and 210 spending as much money if not more. I am also assuming 4 ohms at 1200w that the Ampeg SVT-7Pro would drive this cab pretty good.

What do you guys and gals think?

I dunno. I would have to wonder why the cab is already discontinued. I must believe that if they were selling well, that they would not have discontinued the cab after such a short run.

1300 bucks for a 4x10? Sounds like you need to hang around the amps forum a bit more and then the classifieds

Remember that to mix a 2x10 with a 4x10 the 2x10 should have twice the impedance of the 4x10. So 4Ω 4x10 plus an 8Ω 2x10. This allows each of the drivers in either cabinet to receive the same power.

We sold all we could make; then we couldn't get the neo drivers anymore! If the neo price/availability problem gets better in the future we will put the SL 410 back in production.

We have a stockpile of 12" drivers for the SL 112, so we are good there.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The wattage and weight is up my alley just not sure if I want to pony up that much for a cab that I cannot play/return at this time so if I hold off a little longer perhaps I will consider this cab if I can order it to a store in NYC.

Discontinued due the increased difficulty of obtaining and therefore, cost, of the neo magnets used in the SL cabs. To the best of my knowledge, that is the only reason for the model being discontinued.
