Question Which would YOU use?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have amassed a few different cabs and heads and think I know what Im going to use, but I wanted outside opinions.

Heads: SWR sm-400, Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0

Cabs: Genz Benz stl-210t (x2), Ampeg BXT410, Behringer ba115 (all 8ohms)

I have been using all Genz Benz (210s stacked vertically) but it isnt loud enough for outdoor shows on big stages. I imagine my 410 + 115 or 410 + 210 would be the louded rig, but the sm400 + 410 sounds really nice and is loud too.

Sigh. Make up my mind for me with impressive speaker knowledge!

410 on bottom + the 2 x210 on top of that. Take both amps; GB head for pre and to power the 2x210's. Line out of GB to fx loop in (or pre in) on the SWR (thus using only the power section of the SWR) to power 410.

result = 8x10 with pretty even power distribution between all speakers

If you NEED more for outdoor gigs (no PA?) use it all as described above.

Contact GB and see if the headphone out can be used as a post EQ line out to drive a power amp. If so problem solved.

No, definately not.

Use the effects send/preamp out jack, this jack is designed specifically for this purpose. Post everything except master volume control. Use the master volume on the slave amp to balance it's output to the Shuttle.
