Is it possible I got a wrong gauge? http://www.neutrik.com/fl/en/audio/2...-B_detail.aspx
The back cover is too thin for the standard cable including the rubber-part to go through. Dang?

Anyway, single-wire-gauge. What kind of gauge am I looking for than?

That's strange??
I have never had any problems with Neutrik connectors, and I have used plenty.
It's however possible that the boot material has more plastic content on Yours, and for that reason, the lack of flexibility makes the cable hard to push through the small hole there is. Can You get it through from the "wrong" side?
2 or 3 conductor cables are as easy as 1 conductor IME, as long as the OD of the cable doesn't exeed ~8mm or so.
Regards

Sometimes it's tighter than a ... , but You should be able to push the cable through.

Anyway, single-wire-gauge. What kind of gauge am I looking for than? | There are alternatives plugs to match your wire's size & provide strain relief. Maybe you should consider a different model plug, or a different brand? Even better, take the cable with you.

We can agree the Switchcraft plug is as good as they come. 8-)

If you're asking whether instrument and speaker cables are different, they most assuredly are, in every detail. Not knowing that fact can lead to a blown amp. |
