it's not necessarily too much for studio work. not everyone's looking to dog the snot out of a b-15, even if they like tubes.

My experience has misled me, I suppose. The only 100 watt amp I had around in my homestudio was a VT22 which seemed rather inclined to be doggedsnot loud no matter what.

lol! well the studio is pretty forgiving imho, and i've run some amps pretty doggedsnot loud and still gotten killer tones to tape. not what you'd call necessary but it can be done.
