YBA 200 Tube Question

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I've been on the forums, but I am an active bass hobbyist and enthusiast in Chicago.

It's been years since I've replaced tubes for my Traynor, and I just blew a power tube.

Any replacement suggestions? Would I need to buy a full set or just replace the blown tube?

What version do you have, I or II? You could replace only the tube you blown but seen that you haven't change the tubesin quite a bit I would recommend that you change all.
JJ is a really good brand of tubes and I find them to be very clear and punchy.

I have the original version. I would like to change the whole set but am not sure if my budget will allow it. Obviously I don't want to damage the amp, but I don't play out or at full volume very often, so tone is not my top priority at this stage in life.

I would replace just the power tubes... all of them.

What tubes are in there now?

JJ KT88's are excellent

I believe it has KT 88s right now. Love Eurotubes though, thanks for the link. May just have to shelf the amp until I can raise the funds.

Agreed. JJ KT88, or maybe SED Winged C tubes.
