I just bought this amp used it sounds great but at higher volumes it tends to distort especially when I'm popping not so much when I'm playing finger style and it only does it on the D, and G strings, any help? Could the speaker be on it's way out? This amp only has one input and my bass is not active.

Is this the 200 watt 115? You maybe expecting too much volume from a single 15". See if you can add a second cab.

Volume is enough for me, but it just distorts when it get louder.

Any rig will run out of gas, so to speak. No rig is limitless before it starts to distort. It is probably completely normal.

If it's distorting before you get as loud as you need then you need another cone in the system. If the amp can take a second 15 then add one.
