| | | Monoblock B!!!!!   70's Cerwin Vega 15's  Traynor "Big B" 8x10 on the left. It's grill is at the right edge, pretty beat up but the logo's still there. Also have a YBA-1 head and a YGM-3 guitar combo. I'm a huge dumb face and play loud with loads of fuzz!!!!

| | | | I've been rocking my DB800 for close to a year now. Its really more amp then i've even come close to needing live since i also run a DI, but its sure nice to know that the power is there. The loudest i've run it was gain and master around noon into my Ampeg 410HLF and standing infront of it was actually painful. Especially when kicking on a BMS through some fuzz haha. Most of the time i'm running gain at about noon and master at 9 oclock. Its a beast but i would like to try the yba200 through one of the traynor cabs for fun. |

Is it the same 'Traynor' company that makes the YBA200 that has made all the previous YBA heads?
My YBA3 sounds pretty different than the YBA200 i tried in a store a few months ago.
I was just wondering if it was a simmilar sittuation as, say Sunn, Kustom, or Acoustic where it's only the same in the name...
FWIW: this is NOT a bash... i thought the YBA200 sounded awesome. Just different...

Nice! Looks like it's in great shape. About two years ago, I snagged an identical amp for $450 on ebay. It was just about mint and was loaded with real Telefunken EL-34's. I sold it to some metalhead kid about six months later. I regret selling that more than any other piece of gear, by far. I only tried it on guitar, and not into a cab where I could crank it. I really wish I would have played it through a nice bass cab.

The amp and cabinet were made in 1967. I remember paying $300.00 for it used in late 1968, which was a lot of money at the time. Notice the original steel dolly. It came with a large wing nut that screwed into the center of the bottom of the cabinet to hold it in place. Later models used velcro to fasten the dolly to the cabinet. 
This is my current 1973 YBA-3 and YC-810 rig. The YBA-3 has been fully refurbished and all 8x10 speakers in the cabinet have been reconed. It's just like new again! Not bad for a 37 year old rig.
