Gain: max
Treble: 3 o'clock, brite switch off
Mids: max
Range: 1 o'clock
Bass: 3 o'clock
Scoop off
Resonance: 2 o'clock
Speaking of resonance, I'm also not sure what this does. Guess the manual is a bit ambiguous in more than one place. It says resonance is about the dampening factor (and cab voicings etc) what does that mean in layman's terms exactly?

The only time I've used it is when playing by myself at home.
Same with the "suck" controls- hi boost, bass boost, mid scoop.:sly:

I do find the resonance & range controls very useful when fine-tuning your rig to a venue. You can actually bring your head into a hall and use just those two controls (and master of course) and adjust right to your tone very quickly regardless how screwed up the room is.
The scoop IS useful - but only if you are playing very alt/metal tones with non-existent or absolutely over the top mids. I'm sure the 300 is a fine head also - but this thing so far has just been perfect after upgrading the tubes.

The YBA200 is a superb amp. I loved mine & only sold it when I had $$ probs. The YBA300 I was able to get at about the same $ as I sold the 200 for.

Ran into a VERY nice Wizard Custom Shop 4x10 used that sounds wonderful with it. do have to tame down the low's with My MTD Basses but the results are just stunning.
Running all analogue now and sounds perfect. Use an MXL A-55 mic for the cab and all is good in my world...
Photo: Disregard the Alesis unit - has been removed. Have added an ART Tube MP Studio, TC Electronics MoJo MoJo & Vortex flanger to replace it.
(Disclaimer: I'm endorsed by MTD Kingston)

Ive been playing a Thunderfunk 500 into a Traynor TC1510 cab and I love it. Fills up the big auditorium at our church easily!

How do you like the combination with the Ampeg 4x10? I have the Yorkville XS400 (essentially the same amp) and I've been thinking about grabbing a used Ampeg 4x10 off of Craigs List.

What a steal - just have to either replace or blast & powder-coat the grill. Some uber smart quy painted it day-glow orange....

| | Big Bottom-Talk about mud flaps, my girls got 'em MTD Kingston Series Artist | | Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: Springfield, MA | | Frickin' WOW!!!! Finally picked up the TC808 (shipped store-to-store GC from TX to CT: only $50.00!) earlier this week. It was a bit road worn, but after about 3 hours of rehab, a complete 14 gauge rewire and 6 coats of Epoxy based paint over the ugly stock red grill (a new one on me) this cab just flat-out smokes.
I'm so glad I wasn't sold on the 8x10" I've been GASing and pulled the trigger on this. All the bottom end in a much more compact package (fits right on it's side in the back of My Dodge Nitro).
As far as tone: is incredably deep and punchy with the the YBA200-2 - slightly reminiscent of a 6x10 with a bit more bright if you dial it in (reminds me of Ashdown ABM 610 actually). Low end has been almost dialed out on the YBA with active basses as it's too present.
With solid-state Overtōn - Flyweight 200 the tone does not change much - however you have to watch compression as the punch gets overbearing. Overall the cab is a monster - just requires a bit of effort to dial it in as it's such a different array than the standard 10's or 15's.
If I had picked this up new for the $800.00 street I still would not have been disappointed at all. The fact that I watched this go from $500.00 to $350.00 over the course of 6 months @ GC used and still remaining unsold made for the deal from hell. Much recommended cab for the YBA200 - huge improvement over 4x10 + 1x15 or 2x10 + 1x15 configurations. Another absolute monster deal from Traynor.
Full rig rundown as of now. (and I'm done for awhile or will be finding a divorce attorney) Basses

Am sure they are a Dynamite product, but nothing worse for brand loyalty when a manufacturer promotes a product they can't deliver in a timely fashion.
