I know a guy who runs a local studio who did that to his Ampeg 8X10 cabinets about 30 years ago....

I was trying to picture the guy doing this, it looks like he just laid them down then used some giant chainsaw to cut them...

on the other hand, what could drive a man to do this? maybe some ladies laughed after they saw him struggling with his big cabs after a big show? after that night he focused a steel resolve to never let that happen again - whatever the cost (of some sawzall blades!)
