1) Trace Elliot, owned several old and new and could find a great tone in all of them. The tubes were big fat and my V6 and V8 swat the SVT. The ss had a cool tone as well, just different.
2) Glockenklang, I still have a Heartrock II and it's fast, fat and gets grindy and the cab is super tight.
Least: None yet, I've managed to find good sounds out of most amps I've played.
That said, there are amps I like better than others. |

Just OK: Ampeg (some great products, some not so great), Markbass (good product, crappy warranty and CS), GK (good stuff...just not the sound for me), SWR (not my sound), Fender (see Ampeg....some great stuff, some not so great), Hartke
Least Favorite: BEHRINGER/BUGERA (same company...ripped off designs, poor quality), Acoustic (exclusive GC crap supposed to look like a classic but actually NOTHING like it), Line 6....I'm sorry, it just doesn't work for me in a live context.

i dont like the "character" of GK heads but do praise them for being reliable in my experiene. never liked fender bass amps. i guess thats it for my "dont like" list. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
