I love them both, but if you put a gun to my head, I think that JJ is the most special bass I've ever owned.
That MM, however, is kryptonite to those sound guys who try to bury the bass with kick drum. |

| | | | A Fender blacktop, peavey grind sixer, and an ibanez gio 5 string. I currently play out of a peavey tko 115. Upgrading to a go 2001 rb . Still undecided if I want to run 12s or 10s off of it. The peavey has a lot of power but I get a lot of clipping during slaps. |

I run with IEMs at almost all my gigs now, but I include the small amp for bandmates that still use conventional amps and wedges that want to hear my bass through an amp. It is also a "Plan B" if my IEM monitor mix goes down.
I run into an A-Designs REDDI DI which goes to the board and then AUX'd back to my Shure PSM700 IEM along with the rest of my monitor mix. My bass signal is also routed from the REDDI into a Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 which powers a GK Neo112. I also run a signal from the Shuttle into the IEM in which the level is controlled via mix mode as a backup to the Aux send from the board, just in case.
It sounds great and is an easy load in/out. |
