| Just like there are many bands of EQ, there are countless number of EQ settings.
What are my EQ settings? Relative to what? My EQ settings change with every room I play in. You listed tone control settings. I have a parametric EQ with different three different Mid points. I also have a Graphic EQ. Both the Parametric and Graphic EQ's deal with specific frequencies and they are modified for a particular room, so it's impossible to list my settings as it varies every gig.
Generally, I boost mids and upper mids, cut the lows a bit and turn down the highs as well, but it really depends on the room.

When in a band i usually leave everything flat and boost abit of low mid then adjust the tone on my bass depend on the song or my mood .....
so is hard to say. In general i more into the low end rather than the sizzling high .....

| | | I had a two channel Polytone. I'd dial the bass all the way up on one channel treble off and the opposite on the second channel and balanced the volumes of the two channels. Blend was amazing. Played San Francisco's Golden Gate Park this way.
Just to confuse everyone. |

| | | | Mids unaffected. Bass turned down to get a wooly edge but nothing more (no mud), treble turned down to not have metal on metal- sounding fret/finger noise.

BBE BMAX - 2-10-2 for T-M-B is "flat". I have it set at 2-10-3, and the Para Mids are slightly boosted at 375Hz.
Power Amp:
Crown XLS 1500 - I have a High Pass Filter set at 50Hz, which is why I boosted the Bass control on the BMAX up a notch.
Basses: Generally, I will adjust pickup blend, tone control, and plucking position for different songs. Occasionally, I also use the 3-band EQ on my 5-string.

If I need to cut through the mix a bit, I'll boost the mids a tad. That's about it. |

| | | | I leave the semi-parametric EQs on my bass and amp flat for the most part, unless I need to compensate for a room's reverberation. I do most of my EQ adjustment on a 10-band graphic EQ pedal. Usually I emphasize the mids - 500Hz and 1kHz being the highest sliders, usually - and decrease the 16kHz, 8khz, and a little of the 4kHz. Gentle boost on 125Hz, keep the 62.5 at unity, -6 on 31.25Hz, and sometimes very slightly cut 250Hz.

Tone is influenced by the instrument, strings, playing technique, instrument settings, amp brand/model, amp settings, speaker cabinet, room, loudness, and band mix.
Otherwise all of our situations are identical .

I have a sound in my head, and depending on all those conditions, I keep turning the knobs until I hear what I want!
