I'm new to bass guitar and recently purchased a Hartke 4x10 and a 1x15 bass cabinets, and I'm about to buy a crate B200XL head, would this head work with these two cabinets?

Check your cabs' power handling & ohms, do the same for the head & then read this: AMPS FAQ!! Info on OHMS, Allsize RIGS-OverUnderPowerCabs DIY TechTalk-Links

The 1x15 is probably 8 ohms- assuming the head can do 4 ohms, plugging both into the amp should work fine.

Edit: Google-->ebay- pic of rear of head indicates 350 watts @ 4 ohm, which tells us that it can do two 8 ohm cabs & doesn't have a ton of power. Probably not a bad starter rig, depending on what it(the head)costs.

The specs on the bass head are incomplete. You will also need the specs of the 1x15, primarily the impedance -usually 8 or 4 ohm, before you can answer your own question.

Without knowing what the 1x15 cab's impedance is, we can't really answer your question. If it is 8 ohms, it will work fine. If it is 4 ohms, it probably won't.
