Your thoughts on GK 1001RB and 1001RBII

Just some thoughts from you guys. I have a 1001RB and a 1001RBII. I love them both, but may part with one. I've been using the 1001RB more it seems. Just sounds right to me.....but then so does the RBII as well as I love GK stuff. Anyone have any thoughts about which generation you prefer or think is the "keeper" aside from the wattage difference? Also, what revisions where done between the I and II? I know is a personal preference. I've also never had any problems with these amps in the least and both amps even with the power difference between them can tear a persons head off.

It's II not ll. Obviously I prefer the mark II, which is why I have it. Though, I wouldn't mind to 700RB-II either. You are using the mark I most, so if you're getting rid of one, get rid of the mark II. I don't see why that is a difficult choice.

Thanks for the typo correction. Yes, it seems like an obvious choice. Just wanted some feedback on the actual differences/changes that were made in generations aside from the wattage bump on the RBII as well.

your 1001 rb2 has all the latest power amp circuit design updates. It share the same circuit as the 700, and the 2001. These all have more powerful transistors in the output section.
For that matter, the 400rb4 shares the same basic cicuit.

The 1001 was a refinement of the 1000, which ws GK's first shot at class g power. The 1001 got the 50 biamp setup, the 1000 did not have this.

Your 1001rb2 will be more reliable, and features gk's latest enhancements.

Yeah, I believe that the series II amps have been more reliable, historically speaking...
