I recently attached an original lid/reverb unit to my Ampeg v4. I added a three prong cord, and attached it to the chassis where the lid meets the sides. I had previously had a new reverb unit with no lid in it, and it hardly hummed. The three prong gronded in the same place as it does now, just without the lid. Now, it hums very loudly and electrocutes me every time I touch it when it is on. I haven't turned it on since the first day it did that. I tried turning it off and back on, and the problem persisted. Any suggestions? |
